Systems that flag unattended items, crowding, or irregular chip handling are widely deployed. What differs between vendors is whether the alert record survives review in a form an investigator can reconstruct months later.
Privacy scrutiny has increased in parallel. Retention windows, access controls and the separation between security use and marketing use are recurring conditions in approvals.

Staffing implications
A system that generates more alerts than a surveillance room can review does not improve safety. Operators increasingly specify a maximum sustainable alert rate as a contractual metric.
